and his fucking political stunts.
The first thing that popped in my mind and was later said by Obama...A president should able to handle more than one thing.
I'm sick of these stunts (first Failin and now this) taking the spotlight off the ISSUES. Cause believe you me...this isn't about McCain wanted to fix the problem (one he's already admitted to not even understanding)..its about distraction.
He's a piece of regular ole Washington bullshit.
Oh...and Palin. That Katie interview? I don't need to "get back to you"...You fucking suck, too.
there are two sides to every story.

actually I'm guessing there are 3 sides to every story...but not sure what I'm supposed to gleam from your link. That the Dems backed him into a corner so he turned it instead?

Neither is currently in charge so really, neither has a place at the discussions. Hardly anyone involved wants them there. In the long run, it's probably another McCain stalling tactic, just like the media being kept away from Palin. If they feel it necessary, they can certainly make statements and even talk to each other about the situation, as well as continue with their plans for a debate.

here's how i saw it:
yesterday Harry Reid said mccain was needed if they were gonna make this bailout work. this morning pelosi said she wasn't gonna jump unless the republicans jump too. obama calls mccain and says let's do something joint about the economy, unity, blah blah; mccain saysDEAL--announces suspension of campaign, and that he's going to washington. obama says "even though that was our idea, we dont' support this. fuck fuck fuck". reid says "NEVERMIND WE DON'T WANT MCCAIN"dems say fuck fuck fuck
because yesterday they begged for him, now anything he does will be
gold, because if they try to shut him out, they look unserious, but if they let him in he leads.
but then obama said "we're still having the debate, because presidents need to be able to handle more than one thing". but this puts obama in the position of only voting present again because he says he'll come back to washington if reid asks him to but otherwise, apparently obama is too busy to have a plan.and while I don't trust mccain to have a plan, I
do think the winner is the guy who shows up, and I don't mean the
debate. each side is stunting the other.

and the repubs didn't want mccain voting for it at all so they could use it in their elections. I also see a difference in needing their opinions and needing a dog and pony show. Not to mention there were already signs of a deal coming together before McCain's theatrics...
I don't see agreeing to working together to fix it and then being bitch slapped by an announcement to suspend campaigning AND delay the debates as actually working together.
Doubting this will eventually have much of an effect...much like the Palin choice.
We shall see...
